Once your child opens the account, here are steps to complete

    When you make a deposit, earn cash towards your child’s saving goal

    Deposit a minimum of $25 in the first 30 days after account opening

    Grow your child’s savings further

    Deposit another minimum of $25 to the account during the period of 30-60 days after the Account is opened.

    Once a minimum of $50 is deposited to the account per the terms of this offer, TD will deposit $25 to the Account. Conditions applyΔ.

How do I and my child qualify?

You’ll need to accompany your child and provide your own valid photo ID, such as a valid passport or 1 piece of valid Canadian government-issued photo ID (like a driver's license or permanent resident card). If you don’t have valid photo ID, you can bring two pieces of non-photo ID (like a Canadian Birth Certificate and a residential utility bill) to your child’s appointment.

Or, if your child doesn’t have valid photo ID, they can bring valid non-photo ID that contains their name and date of birth, like a Canadian Birth Certificate or Canadian Citizenship Certificate, to the appointment.

  • Be confident and aware of any attempts to defraud your child by getting​​​​ text messages right to the mobile number registered on the account when suspicious activity is detected from their TD Access Card or their bank account.

The $25 offer is going to be deposited within 12 weeks after subsequent $25 deposit is made 30-60 days post account opening, provided that the new TD Student Chequing Account is still open, in good standing, with all conditions continuing to be met.


Yes absolutely. If your child does not have a chequing account and you are an existing TD chequing account holder, your child is eligible. However, existing TD Student Chequing account holders are not eligible.
