Very simply, We came some minutes later our reservation, and we were kindly suggested to visit tour after half an hour, thanks. And we didn't take tickek for a kid, it was necessary in any way, but free. This ticket we received at castle cash, also thanks.

Had a fantastic day at the castle. Wow what views and history. Even the area is beautiful. Highly recommended. It's a bit of a walk to the castle and you need to park at the base and take a shuttle bus or walk up or take a horse and buggy like we did.

Good ticketing experience, great place to visit, but the lady at the info point is the most arrogant person I've ever met

We absolutely loved visiting the castle. It is an incredible historic structure with so many layers of culture and history. The mad scramble to run 20 minutes up the hill to the castle to make the precise appointment time, with no possibility for refund or rescheduling, we thought was extremely strict and stressful since we had to drive from Munich to make a 10:40 AM appointment - the only time that was open on that day. Additionally, the security guards who hover over guests in every room to make sure they don't take photos (they're called "guides", but never speak a word or offer any interpretive narrative) were a little overbearing and a little intimidating

The system of tickets and number displayed: simple, practical, and without any chaos among the tourists, since we had to wait for everyone's number to appear before getting in line. The audioguide provided some interesting information, but was rather limited in that time was also limited by the guide accompanying the group. On the other hand, the tour went by at a snail's pace (30 min) and many interesting objects had no explanation. But the visit was indispensable = Magnifique. PS: for those who already have their ticket, you don't need to come 2 hours beforehand as indicated in all the online sites - from Füssen to the ticket office (Taxi 7 min); the horse-drawn carriage 10 min and 8 min on foot for the last few metres, so counting broadly 45 min is enough, especially in the middle of winter (but mulled wine awaits you at the top!).

A Fairytale Castle

Located in the village of Schwangau, enter the wonderful Neuschwanstein Castle. Opened to the public in 1886, the Romanesque Revival-style structure is surrounded by a magical and fascinating ambiance with views of the lake, waterfall gorge, and the 19th-century Hohenschwangau Castle. You'll actually feel like you're walking inside a fairy tale dream! An audio guide available in 19 languages gives you a deeper insight into the castle and its history.

Built by Bavarian ruler, King Ludwig II, Neuschwanstein Castle has a magnificent limestone facade and its interior is as beautiful as its outside with 14 rooms. The rooms were majestically decorated at Ludwig II’s sudden death in 1886. Make sure to visit the 2-story throne room which has a Byzantine-style design with wall paintings depicting angels.
