A beautiful film - treat your exotic holiday photos to something special

I was very impressed by this film. The blues, greens and oranges are really beautiful and the greens especially have a very specific jade tinge that is very distinctive. It's a very sharp film and the grain is extremely fine and even. It is slow, so use of a tripod is definitely beneficial for landscape shots, but I was able to get good sharp handheld shots in bright winter sunshine. It renders people well, though I feel it makes the red in skin look a little strong, like everyone's a bit hot or been drinking... Anyway, highly recommended, and pay for the premium jpegs, as the resolution of this film deserves them (and it costs a lot in the first place!!). Is it better than 2 rolls of ColorPlus? Well, the colour saturation in Ektar is really nice and it's a lot sharper, so if you're going to be taking photos of beautiful forests or the beach, then this could be a great film. I think it would be especially nice for exotic travel shots. All shots are unedited apart from downscaling for upload - they are straight out of my Canon 300V with 24-105mm L lens.

Summer blue sky film!

Definitely best used on a bright, summer day!

It's a good film - sharp, bright and captures scenes well. It's a bit too contrasty for me and produced some odd blues.

Personal preference is Portra or Gold for these scenes but good to try something new.

Portraits...?

I think this might be an under considered film for portraits (in the right conditions). Especially in a natural back ground with skies and greenery. Colours are interesting and give that 'filter' look that is desired now.
