Queensland Business Energy Saving and Transformation Rebate

Eligible Queensland businesses can benefit from a range of rebates by upgrading to selected 4 star or higher energy efficient appliances.

Queensland Business Energy Saving and Transformation Rebate

The QLD Business Energy Saving and Transformation (QBEST) Rebate scheme provides rebates to eligible businesses to install 4 star rated or higher appliances.

Eligible appliances include:
Air Conditioners, Dryers, Washers,
Computer Monitors, Dishwashers, Fridges or Freezers and TVs.

Eligible Businesses must be small to medium-sized Queensland businesses that meet the criteria.

This Queensland only program opens 5th October 2023. Get in quick - the rebates on offer are on a first come first serve basis.

HOW TO GET YOUR REBATE

A rebate of up to $12,500 is available for eligible Queensland businesses who purchase selected energy efficient appliances and tech from now until 30 June 2025 (or until the program allocated funding is exhausted).

The QBEST Rebate Scheme provides a rebate to eligible small and medium-sized Queensland businesses who want to purchase and install energy-efficient equipment. The rebate is available to companies that meet the below criteria:

Hold an Australian Business Number (ABN)
Be registered for GST
Not be a public company within the meaning of the Corporations Act 2001
Have its headquarters in Queensland and be operating from premises in Queensland
Employ at least 2, but no more than 199 full-time (or equivalent) employees (including the business owner)
Not have received funding for this equipment under a previous round of this scheme or any other government funding.
Is already be operating - you will not be eligible for this rebate if you have purchased equipment to start a business.

Your purchase must:

Be made on or after 5 October 2023
Have been paid in full and you have a receipt for the purchase, or purchase and installation
Be at least 1 of the items on the list to the left (there is no limit to the number of items you purchase, providing the total rebate does not exceed $12,500).

Rebates of up to $12,500 are available for eligible businesses which purchase (and install if required) eligible energy-efficient equipment. Eligible businesses must spend a minimum of $8,000 (GST exclusive) on the purchase and installation of the equipment. The rebate is 50% of the purchase and installation costs (GST exclusive) of the eligible equipment.

Only 1 rebate is available for each eligible business. However, a rebate application can consist of multiple, eligible energy-efficient equipment items, provided the total rebate amount does not exceed $12,500.

Applications will be processed in order of lodgement date, with each round closing once allocated funding has been exhausted.
