Pupdate! 🐺 We're thrilled that the five critically endangered American Red Wolf pups born at our off-site facility continue to thrive. These curious little ones, now six weeks old, are exploring more outside their den under the watchful eye of their mom. The litter, consisting of three males and two females, marks another milestone in our efforts to revive the only wolf species native to the United States. With just 20-22 Red Wolves left in the wild in eastern North Carolina, our commitment to their recovery is unwavering. The pups are not howling yet, but you can hear the Red Wolf howls in the background from the adult wolf packs.
Happy Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈

So fetch! Today is Regina’s first birthday! 🎉 She’s not like a regular penguin; she’s a cool penguin. 🐧 Named after Regina George from the movie Mean Girls, here’s a throwback of Regina adventuring behind the scenes as a fluffy chick. And yes, on Wednesdays, she wears pink (and every day) with her fetch ID bracelet. 💖 Regina is really a huge deal, and can’t help it that she’s popular. Happy first birthday, Regina! 🎂
