There are two visions of Western society that are currently on the table.
Vision one: Merit wins. Being good at things actually matters. 
This vision of society has excellent, positive externalities, because when you are good at things, you end up helping other people. You end up producing goods, products and services that are useful to others.
The meritocracy is the only system ever devised by man that actually creates positive effects for everyone else in a society.
That is vision number one.
Vision number two is the oversensitive Army of Losers society. Merit is discarded in favor of your level of being offended. The more of a failure you are, the more you get to be offended, and the more offended you are, the worse society is.
That’s because if the people who are unsuccessful get to run all of the levers of society, and part of what they get to do is declare that their un-success is a facet of their victimhood, that means negative externalities for everyone, because it&#8217;s literally the reverse of merit. It is failure of merit. It is lack of merit that now puts you high on the totem pole when it comes to this version of society.
This is the sort of conflict that is bubbling to the surface across Western civilization.
We&#8217;re going to have to choose which vision of society we wish to live in — the meritocracy or the Army of Losers society.
With regard to the meritocracy, the backlash has now begun against the Army of Losers society.
In excellent news, WRAL News <a href="https://www.wral.com/story/unc-board-of-trustees-removes-dei-funding-from-budget/21428683/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>:
<blockquote>UNC-Chapel Hill&#8217;s Board of Trustees on Monday approved the transfer of $2.3 million in diversity and inclusion spending to public safety priorities in the 2024-25 budget. The trustees held a special meeting Monday morning. The board is scheduled to hold its regular meeting Wednesday and Thursday. The UNC System Board of Governors is expected to vote next week to eliminate diversity goals and jobs at member institutions, including UNC-Chapel Hill. A Board of Governors committee last month approved a complete rewrite of the system’s existing diversity, equity, and inclusion policy.</blockquote>
This is excellent. They are saying, “No longer are we going to craft all of our systems around the false, pernicious lie that all disparities are because of societal exploitation and discrimination. Instead, we&#8217;re going to do away with all of that, and we&#8217;re going to go straight back to the meritocracy. We&#8217;re not spending taxpayer money on it. We&#8217;re not spending tuition money on it. We&#8217;re done.”
That is the way that society needs to move if you wish to have a successful meritocracy, a successful society with excellent knock-on effects and an ability to build for the future.
WRAL added that one of the members of the Board of Trustees, David Boliek, said, “I think that DEI is divisive. I don&#8217;t think it&#8217;s productive. I don&#8217;t think it gives a return on investment to taxpayers and to the institution itself.&#8221; Boliek said that conversations about increased funding for public safety began after the on-campus shooting death of a professor at the beginning of the 2023-24 school year and were furthered by on-campus protests in support of Palestinians.
So they are moving all of their funding away from DEI and toward campus safety, which makes perfect sense.

And the professoriate is upset. One associate professor in the Department of Health Behavior and Chair of the Faculty at UNC-Chapel Hill said, “Frankly, I was stunned. I have heard from faculty who are very concerned, who are concerned because they see the value in what we’re doing to increase equity and inclusion on campus”
Who cares what the professoriate has to say, considering they are the beneficiaries of a system that is directly cutting against meritocracy? 
So path one for our societies is to stop this notion that freedom itself, freedom and economics, freedom and association, freedom of speech — that all of these things are tools of the powerful, designed in order to harm others, and that merit itself is somehow a bad thing and a demonstration of power dynamics in a Foucault deconstructionist way. 
Then there&#8217;s path number two, currently being presented by Disney, which has decided they&#8217;re going to ax Tinker Bell from doing meet and greets at the park.
This story doesn&#8217;t seem particularly big on the surface except that the way that you educate your children matters an awful lot. The way that you deal with things like children&#8217;s entertainment matters because kids are incredibly impressionable, their brains are incredibly malleable and plastic.
And when you teach them that Tinker Bell cannot be allowed in public view because Tinker Bell represents some sort of exploitative vision of women, you&#8217;re creating a society of victims.
The predicate for this was something called the Stories Matter initiative over at Disney, which decided that Ursula the villainous sea witch from “The Little Mermaid” (who’s an octopus) was, because of her dark color palette, lavender skin and black legs, offensive in some sort of racial way.
Tinker Bell was also marked for caution. Why? Because she was “Body conscious and jealous of Peter Pan&#8217;s attention.”
Yes, that&#8217;s right: Tinker Bell is body-conscious and therefore she is no longer going to be included in the character meet and greets at Disney World.
Now let&#8217;s be real about the character of Tinker Bell. Obviously, Tinker Bell is in pretty good shape in the movie. The whole joke is that she is a pretty small person who&#8217;s in love with Peter. That&#8217;s the whole joke of the film. That is part of the relationship between them, which dates back to the original book by J.M. Barrie, but that can&#8217;t be included because it might give bad messages to little girls such as “being body-conscious actually matters with regard to mating.”
Or it might give off the impression that sometimes girls get jealous over guys, which you can&#8217;t have, because obviously it&#8217;s true.
These minor symptoms are indicative of broader cultural trends. And those broader cultural trends have an impact on politics because when you have the Army of Losers mentality versus the meritocracy, eventually the meritocracy is going to stand up and roar, because it turns out that the meritocracy is responsible for the success and health of any vital society.
The meritocracy is created by and benefits the lions of society, the strongest people when it comes to any merit-based activity. Those are the people who are the drivers of growth. They&#8217;re the people who are responsible for the tax revenue. They&#8217;re responsible for all the businesses being founded. They&#8217;re responsible for success in innovation.
The Army of Losers, by contrast, is a group of people who literally have taken themselves out of circulation because they were not meritorious enough.
Joe Biden has decided that he&#8217;s going to focus all of his attention on the supposed Army of Losers, and it is a disaster area for him. The only throughline to his administration is what he said it was: equity. Equity is the lie that all disparities are equivalent to discrimination, and therefore, if you can identify a group disparity in any practice across the United States, that means that some sort of exploitation or discrimination is happening that is correctable by government.
I don&#8217;t actually know if Joe Biden believes all of that. I think that Joe Biden is basically just a pinwheel of a human being who moves in whatever direction he thinks the winds are moving inside of his own party.
And the direction inside the Democratic Party is toward the anti-meritocracy.
And guess what? Most Americans like the meritocracy. Moderates, independents, even some moderate-leaning Democrats. It turns out that we like systems where effort is rewarded, where merit is rewarded, where innovation gets better because merit is rewarded, because the incentive structure is properly aligned for growth and health.
And this is why Joe Biden is collapsing in the polls.

A black man from New Jersey was charged in federal court with threats after allegedly planning a mass murder of white people, who he said were privileged.
In December 2022, federal prosecutors say Joshua Cobb wrote online that he wanted &#8220;to cause mayhem on the white community,&#8221; according to <a href="https://www.justice.gov/usao-nj/media/1351741/dl?inline">court records filed late last week</a>.
&#8220;The reason i specifically want to target white people is because as a black male, they will NEVER understand my struggles,&#8221; Cobb wrote, according to the prosecutors. &#8220;Same way I will never understand their struggles, but I don&#8217;t care to. I want to erase them. All of them really, but in this case as many as I possibly can.&#8221; Cobb added that he had &#8220;officially began planning my attack&#8221; to occur in New Jersey during &#8220;an important holiday to their race,&#8221; and that he had &#8220;already acquired 2 of the 4 firearms I plan to use for my attack.&#8221;
The next year, Cobb attended Marine Corps basic training in South Carolina. He was stationed at the Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, California this year.
In April 2024, FBI agents interviewed Cobb on base and he &#8220;provided detailed information on three locations he chose as possible targets for his attack,&#8221; and said he &#8220;continued to have homicidal ideations and still harbored feelings of contempt towards those whom he perceived as privileged white people.&#8221;
Cobb was arrested Friday, May 10, and was also discharged from the Marine Corps that day, according to court affidavits. He was charged with transmitting threats in interstate commerce, which could bring up to five years in prison. According to court records, he is being held in jail and is represented by a public defender.
He allegedly told investigators that one location he targeted was a gym or a grocery store, where &#8220;you just see all these f&#8212;ing rich-ass white people,&#8221; or simply a &#8220;rich white area and just like start shooting. That was like all my little ideologies.&#8221;
He said he had access to weapons through &#8220;my boy&#8221; since &#8220;it&#8217;s no secret guns are in bad areas.&#8221;
When the FBI told him it was confiscating his cell phone, he said, &#8220;this is why people like me shoot people.&#8221;
The military has struggled with recruiting and talent after the Biden administration <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-admin-opposes-merit-based-military-promotions-wants-provisions-for-race-and-gender" target="_blank" rel="noopener">fought efforts</a> to promote based on merit rather than race.
It was slated to spend $270 million on <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/bidens-pentagon-slated-to-spend-nearly-270-million-on-diversity-agenda" target="_blank" rel="noopener">DEI programs</a> over three years, and has faced severely <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/army-stats-show-precipitous-drop-off-in-white-recruits-and-some-blame-conservative-media" target="_blank" rel="noopener">waning interest</a> from white, blue-collar men as the military put on events like <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/air-force-includes-drag-show-in-woke-diversity-festival-at-langley" target="_blank" rel="noopener">drag shows</a>.
Perhaps no federal agency has embraced radical and divisive rhetoric as the Department of Veterans Affairs, even though its workforce is disproportionately black. The agency said, pursuant to a Joe Biden equity directive, that it wants <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-admin-wants-more-black-veterans-declared-mentally-disabled-in-the-name-of-equity" target="_blank" rel="noopener">more black veterans to be declared mentally disabled</a> so that they could receive government checks — even though black vets already get those disability checks at twice the rates of whites.

There is a popular, new genre of TikTok videos making the rounds.
This is the video of someone documenting an average day in their life. You see them wake up in the morning, make breakfast, drive to work, eat lunch, etc. Nothing extraordinary or even mildly interesting happens. The only thing unusual about the day, as they document it, is that they are documenting it.
I watch these videos fascinated only by the number of camera angles they use and cuts they have to make. As a content creator myself — as much as I absolutely despise that title — I can’t help but marvel at the effort that must go into creating this sort of content. Not to mention the public embarrassment you must endure when other shoppers at the grocery store see you setting up your tripod to capture footage of yourself picking up a bag of green peppers or whatever. It all seems very bizarre. What is being filmed isn’t bizarre, but rather the fact that it’s being filmed at all.
But maybe the joke’s on me. These videos seem totally pointless from my perspective, and yet they tend to provoke a strong reaction from many people on the internet. Then again, everything provokes a strong reaction on the internet. The internet has never shrugged its shoulders at anything and said, “Oh okay. That’s fine. Whatever.” Nothing is fine. Everything is either really terrible or really amazing, and there is no room for anything to exist anywhere else on that continuum. So these “day in the life” videos must either be amazing or terrible, and usually they are judged to be the latter.
That has been the consensus over the past several days as videos from some random guy on TikTok have gone viral. The videos — I’ve seen three of them circulating — all show this guy, whose name I don’t know, going about his daily routine. Again, nothing remarkable happens. There’s nothing strange, interesting, or notable about it. But the videos have elicited a strong and often negative reaction. 
Let’s look at this one now and then read a few of the comments. Here it is:

Riveting stuff. The guy wakes up, has a smoothie for breakfast, takes the trash out, goes to work at his office job, comes home, takes his dog out, then gets changed into sweat pants and relaxes for the night. A very normal day.
A normal dude doing normal things. It’s only a one minute snap shot. There are 17 or 18 waking hours in the average day, so most of it will be left out. The guy also has a wife who we don’t see in the video, and apparently his wife is also pregnant. That fact isn’t featured in the clip, but the one minute snapshot we do see is totally fine and unobjectionable. Granted, again, the fact that we’re given this snapshot — the fact that he’s filming this in the first place — is strange. There are criticisms you could levy against this type of content. But there’s nothing offensive about the thing that’s being documented — the 9-to-5 routine itself.

And yet the peanut gallery on Twitter/X has responded to this video like it’s an image of pure despair and horror. Someone named Keith Woods, who advertises himself in his bio as one of the “top 200 most influential Twitter users” left this caption when he reposted that video:

That had nearly 5 thousand likes. Many other comments agreed with the sentiment. Reading a few:
<blockquote>I don’t know if it’s this guys demeanour or just how empty his life seems, but this is literally the most depressing video I’ve ever seen
This is slavery with a nicer kitchen and bed
Hell on earth.
I agree, it is horrifying.</blockquote>
Many other comments along these lines, calling the guy a wage slave, declaring that his 9-5 lifestyle is a nightmare beyond all imagining, and generally reacting to a video of a guy going to work as if it’s a snuff film. 
I tweeted that I don’t quite see the problem with the way this guy is living, and many people responded with comments informing me that I only have that opinion because I am also a soulless robot. Here’s one comment for reference:

Now, I would obviously disagree with the “automaton” and “conservatard” labels, but the rest I’ll accept. I’m not sure what a “super basic” life is, but if that’s my life, fine. I go to work. I take care of my family. Perhaps it’s a basic life in that way. I’m okay with that. I’m also not striving to live in a way that random social media accounts would find “novel and interesting.” In fact if “novelty” is a guiding principle of your life then it is virtually guaranteed that you’re a dysfunctional loser. Functional adults with responsibilities don’t go around chasing novelty. 
At any rate, I can guarantee that the people who pretend to recoil in horror at 9-to-5 jobs, and who lambast the rest of us for living uninteresting lives, are not themselves doing anything interesting at all. These people aren’t jungle explorers or engineers working on building a rocket ship to take humans to Mars or anything like that. These are losers who have lives far more monotonous and pointless than the average middle class 9-to-5 worker.  
These people sit around on their fat asses staring at screens all day and then declare that office jobs are beneath them. “I need something more fulfilling and worthwhile and fascinating to satisfy my wild and inquisitive nature,” declares the guy who’s been scrolling through TikTok videos for the past seven and a half hours. 
There is a certain irony to it. 
Yet it has become very popular to hate on the 9-to-5 routine. You hear it from people on the Left, who say that the normal work day is somehow oppressive to the human spirit. And now we hear it even from some on the Right, who have adopted the same language to describe the lives of normal people who go to work every day to provide for themselves and their families. Both sides — or at least a vocal (and often younger) element on both sides — have come to a consensus that your average 9-to-5 job is a nightmare worse than death itself. It is slavery, they say.
Let me make two points about this. First of all, I don’t have a normal 9-to-5 job myself. I earn a living in a way that is somewhat unusual. Everyone on Earth has a podcast these days, so there’s nothing unique about that. But it is relatively unusual to make enough money to support a family this way. And yet I would never look down on the average 9-to-5 office worker. Most of them are doing jobs far more essential than what I do for a living. In fact, office workers basically run the world. Nothing would work without those guys doing those jobs. But no matter how essential or inessential any of those jobs may seem, I respect anyone who earns an honest living to care for themselves and their families. Calling average middle class workers “automatons” and “drones” and “slaves” is about the snobbiest, most elitist position you can take. And it’s even worse because, as we’ve established, many of the people who’ve taken this elitist position are by no means, and by no measure, actually elite in any sense of the word.
Second, adult life is one of work and routine. There is no way around the work part unless you’re on welfare or you were born a billionaire. In which case — in either case — you have no right to judge anyone who actually works for a living, no matter what kind of job they have. As for the second part, there’s no way around routine even if you’re a billionaire or a welfare queen. 
Everyone has a routine. Life is dominated by routine. And establishing effective routines — routines that help you to be productive, and fulfill your responsibilities — is an essential part of growing up and maturing. Nobody has an exciting daily routine. Even people with interesting jobs don’t have exciting daily routines. Batman doesn’t have an exciting daily routine. The only people who have no routines at all are homeless schizophrenics. For everyone else, the only question about your routine is whether it is productive or not.
Work and routine. That is what the lion’s share of life consists of. Welcome to human existence. This is what it’s like, this is how it goes. So if you are horrified by a guy with a job and a routine, it is not the job or the routine you loathe. It’s existence itself. You apparently find human existence, by its very nature, to be awful and oppressive. And that’s a problem, because there is only one alternative to existence. If you don’t want to avail yourself of that option — and I hope you don’t — then you need to get used to life, and learn to find joy in it.

President Joe Biden is set to increase tariffs on multiple Chinese imports, including electric vehicles, battery components, semiconductors, microchips, and steel and aluminum.
The tariff rates will hit electric vehicles, solar components, and semiconductors from China the hardest with an increase from 25% to 50%, while tariffs on other sectors will increase to 25%, USA Today <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/elections/2024/05/14/biden-raises-tariffs-china-electric-cars-solar/73675733007/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>. The new tariffs on China, which will be announced by Biden at the White House on Tuesday, will be implemented over the next two years and are estimated to affect around $18 billion in Chinese imports. During his speech, Biden will also officially endorse keeping tariffs implemented by former President Donald Trump on more than $300 billion of Chinese goods, The New York Times <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2024/05/14/us/politics/biden-china-tariffs.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a>.
Biden&#8217;s increase in tariffs on China comes after the president <a href="https://twitter.com/JoeBiden/status/1154809858555883522" target="_blank" rel="noopener">spent</a> months campaigning <a href="https://twitter.com/JoeBiden/status/1138506137697959939" target="_blank" rel="noopener">against</a> former President Donald Trump&#8217;s tariffs on the communist country. The then-Democratic presidential candidate blasted Trump multiple times in 2019 for his tariffs on Chinese imports, calling Trump&#8217;s policies &#8220;senseless&#8221; and arguing that, in the end, Americans would end up &#8220;foot[ing] the bill.&#8221;
&#8220;Mexico isn’t paying for the wall. American military families are. China isn’t paying for the tariffs. American farmers and manufacturers are,&#8221; Biden <a href="https://twitter.com/JoeBiden/status/1170806514472247296" target="_blank" rel="noopener">tweeted</a> in September 2019. &#8220;The American people continue to foot the bill for President Trump’s senseless political games.&#8221;
A senior Biden administration official defended the president&#8217;s new tariffs on China, saying the world needs &#8220;diversified, not concentrated, production of our most critical goods and technologies.&#8221;
“China can’t be the only country that produces clean technology for the world we need,” a senior administration official said. “We need diversified, not concentrated, production of our most critical goods and technologies,&#8221; the official said, according to <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2024/05/14/politics/biden-tariffs-chinese-imports/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">CNN</a>, adding, &#8220;That’s the kind of dynamic we think will produce resilient supply chains and clean technology.”
The Biden administration&#8217;s increase in tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles will hit as the federal government continues to invest heavily in EVs and green energy. Lael Brainard, director of the White House National Economic Council, said that Biden&#8217;s move especially hopes to aid &#8220;communities in Michigan and Pennsylvania,&#8221; two 2024 battleground states that could help decide the winner of the presidential election.
“We know China’s unfair practices have harmed communities in Michigan and Pennsylvania and around the country that are now having the opportunity to come back due to President Biden’s investment agenda,” said Brainard.

Earlier this year, Trump proposed increasing tariffs on China across the board to more than 60%. The former president also denied that he had started a &#8220;trade war&#8221; with China during his one term in the White House.
&#8220;It&#8217;s not a trade war. I did great with China with everything,&#8221; he <a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/us/republican-candidate-trump-china-tariffs-we-have-do-it-2024-02-04/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> in February. &#8220;I want China to do great, I do. And I like President Xi a lot. He was a very good friend of mine during my term.&#8221;

The Biden administration appears to be repurposing a federal program aimed at helping kids in the foster care system transition to adulthood, instead using the taxpayer dollars to fund efforts by children to transition into the opposite sex.
Biden&#8217;s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) says federal taxpayer dollars can be spent towards buying &#8220;personal items&#8221; that support &#8220;a youth’s expression of their gender identity,&#8221; which typically refer to accessories such as chest binders and so-called packers, which are prosthetic penises used by girls who want it to appear like they have male genitals.
A <a href="https://www.acf.hhs.gov/sites/default/files/documents/cb/LGBTQIA2S%2B%20Resource%20to%20Support%20Youth%20and%20Families.pdf">document</a> from the Children’s Bureau, a federal agency which operates under the authority of HHS, reveals that federal funds can now be used by child welfare agencies to “support the provision of services, interventions, and supports to LGBTQIA2S+ children.” The document, titled “Federal Funding to Support Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, Two-Spirit, Plus (LGBTQIA2S+) Children, Youth, Young Adults, and Families,” explains that child welfare funds can now be used to encourage children to attempt to change their sex.
“[John H. Chafee Foster Care Program for Successful Transition to Adulthood] funding may be used in a number of ways to support LGBTQIA2S+ youth and allow them to participate in positive, affirming, age-appropriate activities,” the document states in reference to a foster care funding system. “For example, Chafee funds may be used to purchase personal items related to supporting a youth’s expression of their gender identity and/or sexual orientation.”
The Chafee funding program was <a href="https://www.acf.hhs.gov/cb/grant-funding/john-h-chafee-foster-care-independence-program">originally intended</a> to help children in the foster care system adjust to adult life, funding education, housing, and employment services. LGBT non-profit organizations took Biden&#8217;s policy guidance as an announcement that garments such as chest binders, used to flatten a girl&#8217;s breasts, and packers, which are prosthetic penises, can be purchased with federal dollars.
“Guidance from the Children’s Bureau indicates that child welfare agencies may be able to use Chafee funding to purchase gender affirming items for young people in their care,” the National Center for Youth with Diverse Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity &amp; Expression states in a <a href="https://sogiecenter.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Federal-Funding-for-Gender-Affirming-Materials-Tool.pdf">document</a> laying out how federal funds can be used to encourage child sex change attempts. “This resource offers a list of common items that may be purchased using Chafee funding.”
The organization&#8217;s resource lists both binders and packers as eligible items, as well as a range of other items.
“Binders are purpose-built undergarments … that are used to flatten breasts and create the appearance of a flatter chest,” the guide reads, before directing the reader to a site where “young people can go discreetly to learn what’s best for them.”
In regards to packers, it says they can be purchased for children with federal funds and describes them as &#8220;stand-to-pee devices that can be used as prosthesis that allow transboys and masculine people the appearance and feeling of having male genitals.&#8221; The accessories are used to help women use men&#8217;s restrooms and urinals. It says that gaffs, described as &#8220;compression underwear that smooth out the appearance of outer genitalia,&#8221; can also be bought with federal funds.
Neither HHS nor the Children’s Bureau responded to Daily Wire inquiries asking specifically which items are included in the government&#8217;s definition of “personal items” to support youth’s gender identities.
Representative Jim Banks (R-IN) told The Daily Wire that the Biden administration has an unsettling obsession with the personal lives of children. “Bureaucrats in the Biden administration seem obsessed with the personal lives of vulnerable children—it’s creepy,” he explained. “When Secretary Becerra testifies tomorrow, House Republicans must make him answer for his attacks on parents’ rights and his attempts to push harmful gender procedures on minors.”
Dr. Stanley Goldfarb, a former dean at the University of Pennsylvania Medical School, said that giving children these sorts of items puts them on a path toward &#8220;irreversible harm.&#8221;
&#8220;The great risk of fostering so-called affirming care is that it almost certainly will lead to medicalization, such as the use of puberty blockers and sex altering hormones,&#8221; said Goldfarb, who now runs <a href="https://donoharmmedicine.org">Do No Harm</a>, an organization that opposes the politicization of medicine. &#8220;We know that the vast majority of children who have gender dysphoria, if supported through psychological counseling and psychiatric care, will go through puberty and live their lives in the gender that conforms to their sex. To give them various devices to promote social transition is a step in the path to irreversible harm in the vast majority of these children.&#8221;
Goldfarb said children experiencing gender dysphoria need legitimate support, not interventions that push an ideological agenda and put them on the path to medicalization.
“These children are extremely vulnerable and do need support services,” Goldfarb said. “But support services designed to implement a particular gender ideology that medical evidence has not shown to produce positive emotional or psychiatric outcomes should not be supported by the government.”
Certain states are more explicit about their desire to provide children with binders and packers.
Oregon’s Department of Human Services, for example, funds “gender affirming products for young people.” One <a href="https://www.oregon.gov/odhs/data/cwdata/cw-apsr-2024.pdf">document</a> from the state government explains that these products include “chest binders, bras, bra inserts, shaving supplies, packers, stand-to-urinate devices, gaffs, wigs, makeup, menstrual supports, or clothing that help young people affirm their gender identity.”
In Massachusetts, the Department of Children and Families <a href="https://www.childwelfare.gov/resources/protecting-rights-and-providing-appropriate-services-lgbtqia2s-youth-out-home-care-16/">connects minors to organizations</a> that “provide gender-affirming clothing, such as binders, packers, body shapers, bras, breast inserts, and similar items in a timely manner.”
Prominent Democrats have continuously advocated for policies that make it easier for children to attempt to transition into the opposite sex. Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) came under criticism for earmarking <a href="https://thepostmillennial.com/1-2-trillion-congressional-spending-bill-funds-lgbtq-group-pushing-chest-binders-packers-fake-breasts-on-teens">$400,000 in taxpayer funds</a> to an LGBTQ youth organization that offers minors binders, packers, and even prosthetic breasts.
President Joe Biden signed an <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/presidential-actions/2022/06/15/executive-order-on-advancing-equality-for-lesbian-gay-bisexual-transgender-queer-and-intersex-individuals/">executive order</a> in 2022 that intended to “address the significant disparities that LGBTQI+ youth face in the foster care system” and fight back against “efforts to suppress or change an individual’s sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.” While the federal bureaucracy has been leveraged in service of leftwing agenda items under Biden, former President Donald Trump has pledged to fire bureaucrats who might otherwise stonewall his policy priorities.

President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/biden-administration" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Joe Biden&#8217;s administration</a> announced on Tuesday that a $1 billion military arms package bound for Israel would be moving ahead — marking at least a partial reversal after a shipment of bombs was halted last week over Israel&#8217;s decision to move on Rafah.
Biden halted the shipment of larger bombs last week — and threatened the possibility that he could withhold future weapons shipments — just days after promising that his support of Israel in its ongoing war against Hamas terrorists was &#8220;ironclad.&#8221;
According to a <a href="https://www.wsj.com/politics/national-security/biden-moves-forward-on-1-billion-in-new-arms-for-israel-844b761c" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a> published by The Wall Street Journal, the current package could include the &#8220;potential transfer of $700 million in tank ammunition, $500 million in tactical vehicles and $60 million in mortar rounds&#8221; — but may stop short of including the 2,000 lb bombs that were in the shipment that Biden withheld.
After halting that shipment, Biden again voiced his opposition to Israel&#8217;s planned invasion of Rafah — the last remaining Hamas stronghold in Gaza — and suggested that although he planned to continue to supply Israel with defensive weapons, he could potentially withhold future weapons shipments if Israeli forces were to invade the more dense population areas.
&#8220;We are continuing to send military assistance. We have paused a shipment of 2,000-pound bombs because we don’t believe they should be dropped in densely populated cities,&#8221; National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said early last week, prompting a <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-turned-his-back-on-israel-and-now-some-democrats-are-turning-on-biden" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wave of backlash</a> from the public and from some in Congress.
A number of Democrats voiced concern over Biden&#8217;s decision, including Senator John Fetterman (D-PA), who said, &#8220;Hard disagree and deeply disappointing.&#8221;

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) said at the time that he hoped Biden&#8217;s comments amounted to a &#8220;senior moment&#8221; rather than a policy position.
Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY) added, &#8220;As the leader of the free world, America cannot claim that its commitment to Israel is ‘iron-clad’ and then proceed to withhold aid from Israel. The mixed messaging makes a mockery of our credibility as an ally. No one will take our word seriously.&#8221;
Mixed messages, according to Seth Binder (an expert on U.S. weapons sales with the Middle East Democracy Center), may still be a problem for Biden — especially since he announced his support for the current arms deal so soon after holding one back.
&#8220;This is just another example of them muddying their message and undermining any real strength behind the hold,&#8221; he said, arguing that if Biden wanted to put pressure on Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, he might be going about it the wrong way.

Actor <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/robert-de-niro" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Robert De Niro</a> delivered such an obscene rant about former President Donald Trump that just a few sentences in, producers on ABC&#8217;s &#8220;The View&#8221; had to cut off his microphone.
De Niro, who has never been shy about his hatred for Trump, joined the hosts of the midday talk show for Tuesday&#8217;s broadcast — and when the topic turned to politics and the 2024 presidential election, the &#8220;Analyze This&#8221; star began with a Hitler comparison and went downhill from there.
Invoking the Nazi dictator right off the bat, De Niro complained that not enough people in the United States were taking serious stock of the potential threat posed by a second Trump presidency.
&#8220;I don’t understand why people are not taking him seriously because you read about it historically in other countries that they didn’t take the people seriously. I think of Hitler and Mussolini,&#8221; he said.
&#8220;Who does not think that this guy is going to do exactly what he says he&#8217;s going to do?&#8221; De Niro continued. &#8220;He&#8217;s done it already. And then what? We&#8217;re going to sit around and say, what, we told you so — or whoever, I told you so. It&#8217;s going to happen. If he gets elected, it’s going to change this country for everybody. And they might think that it’s going to make their life better and they just want to — excuse my French —&#8221;
And although he could still be see mouthing words as he continued, the mic was cut briefly. When the sound came back on, De Niro was claiming that Trump&#8217;s supporters were only about &#8220;anger and hate.&#8221;

Whoopi Goldberg chimed in then, claiming without evidence that Trump&#8217;s plan was to get reelected and then stay in the White House &#8220;until he drops dead.&#8221;
&#8220;It&#8217;s over,&#8221; De Niro agreed with Goldberg&#8217;s claim. &#8220;We&#8217;re going to have such civil strife.&#8221;

A coalition of 17 red states are challenging <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/california" target="_blank" rel="noopener">California</a> over regulations that ban sale of new diesel trucks by 2036.
The lawsuit, led by Nebraska, argues that California’s <a href="https://ww2.arb.ca.gov/our-work/programs/advanced-clean-fleets/about" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Advanced Clean Fleets</a> regulations on internal-combustion trucks and mandate for “zero emission vehicles” by 2036 violate federal law and will have a nationwide impact. The suit argues the regulations will disrupt supply chains, raise prices on goods, and slow interstate transportation.
“In a stunning gambit that both violates the constitution and threatens our nation’s economic security, an agency of the State of California has attempted to override federal law and arrogate to itself the power to ban internal-combustion engines in medium- and heavy-duty vehicles,” the <a href="https://ago.nebraska.gov/sites/default/files/doc/ACF%20Complaint.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">lawsuit</a> says. “This attempted ban contravenes controlling law while defying real-world reality and burdening American families and businesses, already suffering from high inflation, with even more costs.”
The suit was <a href="https://ago.nebraska.gov/news/attorney-general-hilgers-leads-multi-state-coalitions-two-lawsuits-stop-electric-truck-mandates" target="_blank" rel="noopener">joined</a> by Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Montana, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Utah, West Virginia, and Wyoming, as well as the Arizona State Legislature and the Nebraska Trucking Association. The suit was filed in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California.
Nebraska Attorney General Mike Hilgers announced an additional suit against the Environmental Protection Agency for its regulations on tailpipe emissions standards for heavy-duty vehicles. Critics argue that these regulations effectively take aim at traditional trucks in favor of pushing companies to manufacture and sell electric vehicles.

The <a href="https://ago.nebraska.gov/sites/default/files/doc/PFR_File%20Stamped.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">suit</a> against the EPA was joined by Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming. The suit was filed before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
“California and an unaccountable EPA are trying to transform our national trucking industry and supply chain infrastructure. This effort — coming at a time of heightened inflation and with an already-strained electrical grid — will devastate the trucking and logistics industry, raise prices for customers, and impact untold number of jobs across Nebraska and the country,” Hilgers said in a statement.

<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/paris-hilton">Paris Hilton</a> sparked outrage from followers over her kids&#8217; forward-facing car seat setup after the socialite posted a video showing her infant son and daughter in the back of her van. 
In the clip posted on TikTok, Hilton shared a video of her son, Phoenix, 1, and daughter London, 6 months old, dressed up on their way somewhere on Mother’s Day. However, it was the positioning of the kids&#8217; car seats, both facing to the front with a latch and a belt, that got everyone’s attention, <a href="https://pagesix.com/2024/05/14/parents/paris-hilton-sparks-safety-concerns-with-kids-car-seats/">Page Six</a> reported. 
“Please hire someone to install car seats,” one social media user commented.
Another person offered to, “come help [her] with the straps” to keep the “babies as safe as can be.”

While a third person said, “Please double check the car seat manu’s recs on if you can use the latch &amp; belt at the same time. Usually hard no. Also, rear facing until 2 years old is usually law.”
Other’s just simply called it “so unsafe” and “so dangerous” with the kids facing forward.
However, there were those who defended Hilton’s setup and pointed out that her kids were “not strapped into a typical car” and were “fine,” labeling her execution “perfect.”
Some even suggested that the D.J. was maybe just playing a joke on her followers.
In CA the <a href="https://www.chp.ca.gov/programs-services/programs/child-safety-seats#:~:text=California%20Law,manufacturer%20of%20the%20car%20seat.">current law</a> states that, “children under 2 years of age shall ride in a rear-facing car seat unless the child weighs 40 or more pounds OR is 40 or more inches tall. The child shall be secured in a manner that complies with the height and weight limits specified by the manufacturer of the car seat.”
The TikTok video has since been deleted and there has been no public comment yet from Hilton about the clip or upset from followers.
Last year, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/paris-hilton-reveals-she-kept-new-daughter-a-secret-from-some-of-her-family-until-thanksgiving">Paris</a> recently made a surprise announcement that she and husband Carter Reum were going to be parents again via surrogacy after first welcoming her son a year ago.
In a post on Instagram, she included a photo of a little pink outfit with heart-shaped sunglasses and a bunny. The name embroidered on the outfit read, “London.”
Hilton captioned the post, “Thankful for my baby girl,” along with a pink heart and baby emoji.
In a second post later, the heiress wrote, “So much to be grateful for this Thanksgiving. #SlivingMom.” It included two baby emojis and hearts.
The second post showed a handful of pictures taken at their family’s Thanksgiving celebration with their son Phoenix Barron.

Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy grilled White House Press Secretary <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/karine-jean-pierre" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Karine Jean-Pierre</a> during Tuesday&#8217;s briefing, asking her why nothing President Joe Biden was doing seemed to be really resonating with the American people.
Doocy began by referencing recent polling — very little of which looks good for Biden — and jumped right into what that could mean for Biden in the months left before the 2024 presidential election.
&#8220;Why do you think Americans are so down on President Biden right now?&#8221; he asked.
&#8220;What do you mean?&#8221; Jean-Pierre pushed back.
&#8220;I know you don&#8217;t like to talk about polls, like, the five of six swing states that he is losing right now to somebody who is a criminal offender,&#8221; Doocy replied. &#8220;But, more broadly, it doesn&#8217;t seem like anything you guys are doing is making him more popular. Why do you think that is?&#8221;
&#8220;So, you — uh — you mentioned a criminal defendant, your words, not mine,&#8221; Jean-Pierre said. &#8220;So I want to be super mindful about how I answer this question, because obviously, that criminal defendant is also a — in the race for 2024 elections, so going to be super mindful there.&#8221;
Jean-Pierre then laid out her prepared litany of reasons — none of them Biden&#8217;s policies — that Americans might feel like things weren&#8217;t getting better. She listed everything from &#8220;Putin&#8217;s war&#8221; and its impact on gas prices to the lasting effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
&#8220;We understand that people are still feeling this. We get that and we&#8217;re not — we&#8217;re not blind to that,&#8221; she continued, claiming that Biden&#8217;s economy was working even if people weren&#8217;t feeling that.

A group of Republican attorneys general announced a new lawsuit against the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/biden-administration" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Biden administration</a> over its changes to Title IX that would expand prohibitions on discrimination to include gender identity.
The 85-page <a href="https://dw-wp-production.imgix.net/2024/05/KS-Title-IX-Complaint-filing-copy.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">lawsuit</a>, filed by Kansas, Utah, Alaska, Wyoming, Moms For Liberty, Young America’s Foundation, and Female Athletes United, says that the rule politicizes the education system to “conform to the radical ideological views of the Biden administration and its allies.”
The Education Department, Education Secretary Miguel Cardona, the Justice Department, and Attorney General Merrick Garland are all named in the suit. Conservatives have argued that Biden’s changes to Title IX will endanger state laws keeping males out of women’s sports, bathrooms, and locker rooms.
“If Biden has his way, a 16-year-old female high school student on an overnight field trip could be forced to share a hotel room with a biological male who identifies as a girl or the district would risk losing federal funding,” <a href="https://adfmedia.org/press-release/more-states-girls-sue-biden-admin-illegal-attempt-rewrite-title-ix" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a> Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach. “A 14-year-old girl could be forced to share a locker room and change in front of an 18-year-old man who identifies as a woman or the district could lose funds. It’s unconscionable, it’s dangerous for girls and women, and it’s against federal law.”
During a press conference announcing the suit, Kobach said that there were multiple concerns with the rules, including the intrusion of transgender-identifying males into female spaces, loss of due process for students accused of sexual misconduct, and expansion of benefits for students and school staff for abortions.

“Sports should be free of politics, we’re not injecting politics into sports, we’re keeping politics out because it is a pure, ideological crusade that is driving this attempt to change women’s sports,” Kobach <a href="https://www.facebook.com/events/963297708765749">said</a> during a press conference.
The suit argues that Biden’s new guidelines violate federal law, as well as the First, Fifth, and Fourteenth Amendments.
“This unlawful rule also robs girls and women of their opportunity to participate in their school’s education programs and activities, especially athletics, by forcing them to compete with biological males,” the suit says. “It forces both boys and girls, in their most formative years, to sacrifice their privacy in personal spaces such as restrooms, locker rooms, and even overnight accommodations.”
A number of other Republican officials <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/more-states-file-flurry-of-lawsuits-against-biden-admin-over-transgender-title-ix-rules" target="_blank" rel="noopener">have filed</a> challenges to Biden’s Title IX re-write, including Montana, Louisiana, Mississippi, Idaho, Texas, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, and South Carolina.

An illegal migrant who was deported previously has been charged in connection with the death of a three-month-old baby in the Houston area.
Melvin Jesus Aquino Enriquez, 26, was <a href="https://www.khou.com/article/news/crime/infant-killed-porter-texas/285-026a2506-f86a-47b0-acfe-5c9e96d34b37" target="_blank" rel="noopener">arrested</a> and charged with assault, family violence, and injury to a child causing serious bodily injury. He is being held at Montgomery County Jail on a $750,000 bond.
On April 14, a severely injured three-month-old baby was taken to a local hospital.
Three days later, Enriquez was charged, and a week later on April 21, the baby succumbed to its injuries and died. An autopsy of the child&#8217;s death is pending.
Authorities said Enriquez lived in a home in Porter with a woman and the baby and determined he was also responsible for the child&#8217;s injuries. They also said he had choked the woman.
Enriquez is a &#8220;previously removed Mexican national,&#8221; who entered the U.S. illegally &#8220;on an unknown date and at an unknown location without inspection, admission or parole by an immigration officer,&#8221; an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) spokesperson <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/us/previously-deported-texas-illegal-immigrant-charged-connection-3-month-old-babys-death-sheriff" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> Fox News.
Back in March 2020, ICE officers in the Houston area encountered Enriquez at the Harris County, Texas jail after he was arrested for criminal trespass, the ICE spokesperson said. The next month, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office transferred Enriquez into ICE custody and he was ultimately removed from the U.S. to Mexico, the spokesperson said.
However, Enriquez again entered the country &#8220;on an unknown date and at an unknown location,&#8221; the ICE spokesperson said, and ICE has again placed a hold on Enriquez due to his immigration status.
Authorities said more charges could be brought against Enriquez.
&#8220;Our office, alongside the community, mourns the tragic loss of this young life. We are committed to ensuring justice is served and are determined to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future,&#8221; the sheriff&#8217;s office <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/us/previously-deported-texas-illegal-immigrant-charged-connection-3-month-old-babys-death-sheriff" target="_blank" rel="noopener">said</a>.
The unprecedented migrant crisis at the border continues to worsen with about 9.5 million illegal migrant encounters nationwide since President Biden took office. During “<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRgF39vAgmY">The Kelly Clarkson Show</a>,” the host was talking with guest Whoopi Goldberg and revealed that she had been prescribed a drug by her doctor to help her lose weight after being diagnosed as pre-diabetic, without revealing what she had been prescribed.
&#8220;Everybody thinks it&#8217;s <a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/life/health-wellness/2024/04/17/ozempic-withdrawal-surprise-pregnancy/73340586007/">Ozempic</a>,&#8221; Clarkson said. &#8220;It&#8217;s not. It&#8217;s something else. But it&#8217;s something that aids in helping break down the sugar. Obviously, my body doesn&#8217;t do it right.&#8221;
Clarkson said her doctor &#8220;chased&#8221; her for &#8220;like two years&#8221; urging her to get on medication, because her “blood work got so bad,” admitting she was unaware how much she had gained.

Forty-one percent selected inflation or the high cost of living for the open-ended question, which is the highest figure yet in Gallup&#8217;s annual Economy and Personal Finance poll.
The implication of Biden&#8217;s incorrect claim is that the rate was high when he took over the White House from Donald Trump, who like Biden is running another presidential campaign this year.
While speaking about inflation with Yahoo Finance, Biden said he believed the rate had gone &#8220;slightly up&#8221; and &#8220;it&#8217;s now down to about 3%.&#8221;
Alluding to concerns about the economy, Biden said, &#8220;The fact is that I think people are just uncertain and that&#8217;s why we&#8217;ve got to be steady — stay the course.&#8221;
Biden then contended that &#8220;pay for the jobs are outpacing the inflation rate they&#8217;re paying.&#8221; He added, &#8220;We&#8217;re going to be able to deal with this,&#8221; before stressing, &#8220;It&#8217;s going to take a little more time.&#8221;

The criticism against the movie escalated after <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/disneys-snow-white-star-slammed-as-she-continues-bashing-original-film-in-another-resurfaced-video">Zegler</a> slammed the original story, describing the prince as a “stalker” and made it clear the live-action story she was part of would have nothing in common with the “weird” original 1937 love story.
“It’s one of those things that I think everyone’s going to have their assumptions about what it’s going to be, but it’s really not about the love story at all, which is really, really wonderful,” Zegler said.

A <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/pro-life" target="_blank" rel="noopener">pro-life activist</a> was sentenced to over four years in prison for her role in a protest at a Washington, D.C., abortion facility in October 2020.
Lauren Handy was <a href="https://www.thomasmoresociety.org/news/peaceful-pro-life-advocate-lauren-handy-faces-miscarriage-of-justice-sentenced-to-57-months-in-prison" target="_blank" rel="noopener">given</a> 57 months in prison and three years of supervised release after she was <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/anger-erupts-after-biden-doj-gets-5-pro-life-activists-convicted-thrown-in-jail" target="_blank" rel="noopener">convicted</a> on charges of violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act and conspiracy against rights. Handy was one of five pro-life advocates prosecuted by the Biden administration after they staged a sit-in at the D.C.-based Washington Surgi-Clinic late-term abortion facility.
During the protest, the pro-life protesters sang songs, prayed, locked arms in front of the facility’s staff entrance, and attached themselves with ropes and chains to block doors inside the building.
Handy, 30, was represented by the Thomas More Society, which promised to appeal the sentence. She was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly, a Bill Clinton appointee.
“There was only one thing around which Ms. Handy and her co-defendants were unified, and that was nonviolence,” said Thomas More Senior Counsel Martin Cannon. “They conspired to be peaceful. Yet, today, the Court granted the Biden Department of Justice its wish by sentencing Ms. Handy to 57 months — nearly 5 years in prison. For her efforts to peacefully protect the lives of innocent preborn human beings, Ms. Handy deserves thanks, not a gut-wrenching prison sentence.&#8221;
The other demonstrators convicted include John Hinshaw, 67, Heather Idoni, 61, William Goodman, 52, and Herb Geraghty, 25. Hinshaw was sentenced to 21 months in prison with the others also set to be sentenced on Tuesday.
“I am sorry to this court that it has failed in its vocation to protect its nation&#8217;s children,” Hinshaw <a href="https://twitter.com/LilaGraceRose/status/1790450281244963124" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> the court. “I stand convicted, though guiltless. Turkish President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/recep-tayyip-erdogan" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Recep Tayyip Erdogan</a> said during a recent press conference that he would find it &#8220;upsetting&#8221; to refer to Hamas as a terrorist organization.
Erdogan made the comments during a joint appearance alongside Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who spoke first on the topic of the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas.
&#8220;Athens&#8217; stance on the subject is clear: Israel has every right for self defense against a bloody, provocative occupation of its territory by terrorists,&#8221; Mitsotakis began. &#8220;An attack that innocents got killed, got kidnapped and tortured by a terrorist organization that doesn&#8217;t represent Palestinians.&#8221;

&#8220;It is not a terrorist organization, but if you state it is a terror group here, that would be upsetting,&#8221; he said. &#8220;I never see Hamas as a terror organization. <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/kevin-costner">Kevin Costner</a> now said that a scheduling conflict had nothing to do with his departure from the hit Paramount+ series “Yellowstone.”
Speaking to <a href="https://deadline.com/2024/05/kevin-costner-horizon-an-american-saga-yellowstone-controversy-1235907679/">Deadline</a>, the 69-year-old actor disputed earlier reports that blamed Costner for the end of the series, claiming it was filming for his western movie “Horizon: An American Saga” that screwed up his character John Dutton’s story, resulting in the end of “Yellowstone.”
“Well, I haven’t felt good about it the last year, what with the way they’ve talked about it,” Costner said. “It wasn’t truthful.”
“So now I’m talking about a little bit about what the real truth of it was,” he added. “I made a contract for seasons five, six and seven [of Yellowstone]. In February, after a two- or three-month negotiation, they made another contract.”
“They wanted to redo that one, and instead of seasons six and seven, it was 5A and 5B, and maybe we’ll do six,” Costner continued. “They weren’t able to make those. ‘Horizon’ was set in the middle, but ‘Yellowstone’ was first position. I fit [‘Horizon’] into the gaps. They just kept moving their gaps.”

“Somewhere along the line they wanted to change things,” the “Field of Dreams” star said. “They wanted to do 5A and 5B … affected ‘Horizon.’ I was going to do my movie ‘Horizon’ and leave that show, do my movie, then do B.”
“A show I was only doing once a year I was now doing twice,” he added, noting that Paramount “walked away” from negotiations. “We did negotiate. There were issues about creative. I tried to break the log jam. They walked away.”
<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/kevin-costner">Costner</a> previously talked about the final episodes of the series and made it clear that he still hopes he and Paramount can work it out so he can appear in them.
Speaking to <a href="https://www.etonline.com/kevin-costner-discusses-son-hayes-acting-debut-in-horizon-and-final-season-of-yellowstone-exclusive">Entertainment Tonight</a> about his upcoming movie, the subject of the Taylor Sheridan series came up and the fate of his Dutton character.
“I’d like to be able to do it [Yellowstone] but we haven’t been able to,” Costner said of returning to the series. “…I thought I was going to make seven [seasons] but right now we’re at five.”
“So how it works out — I hope it does — but they’ve got a lot of different shows going on,” he added. “Maybe it will. Maybe this will circle back to me. If it does and I feel really comfortable with [it], I’d love to do it.”
Last year, production was halted in the second half of the season due to what was reported at the time as Costner’s scheduling conflicts — followed by the writers’ and actors’ strikes, as previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/yellowstone-fans-get-major-update-about-series-return">reported</a>.

Israel&#8217;s official X account shared video on Tuesday of armed gunmen — who were believed to be Hamas terrorists — inside a United Nations-affiliated Palestinian aid compound in <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/rafah" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Rafah</a>.
In the <a href="https://twitter.com/Israel/status/1790450075782525371" target="_blank" rel="noopener">video</a>, which was captured by an Israel Defense Forces drone, showed the gunmen casually walking about inside the UNRWA compound and interacting with people who were standing near and operating vehicles labeled &#8220;UN.&#8221;
Lieutenant Colonel Peter Lerner also shared the video, challenging the United Nations to answer for what it showed.

&#8220;Palestinian civilians in Gaza rely on UNRWA to provide humanitarian assistance and shelter. At all times, and especially during escalations of violence, the sanctity and integrity of UN installations must be respected,&#8221; the statement continued.
